Terrible Olympics

Australia's current performance in the 2012 London Olympics has shocked thousands of Australian's… and not in a good way. The disapointment of both athletes and Australians are witnessed in these videos:
Previously to the current olympics Australia won 14 Gold in Beijing, 17 Gold in Athens and 16 Gold in Sydney. Upon these statistics it is evident that Australia had excelled in the previous olympics. Currently Australia sits on 5 Gold in London http://au.sports.yahoo.com/olympics/ Australia have both literally and mentally 'dropped the ball' falling flat on many of the events it has been know best for. Swimming is one of Australia's strongest events, which competitors would easily swim circles around the competition. Though in 2012, golden girl Stephanie Rice http://img.ibtimes.com/www/data/images/full/2010/11/29/54286-stephanie-rice.jpg and James 'The Missile' Magnussen have lost out to new and emerging talent around the world. Sixteen year old Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen has beaten world records (female AND male) and crushed Australia's dreams of gold.  As always the Australian supporters in London have encouraged the Australian atheletes even though the predominately British crowd can sometimes be influential to the success of their home-bred champions. Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen Australian winners managed to increase our gold medal tally.  Though Australian audiences have vocalized their disappointment, they have still found some entertainment in the games, such as the success of fan favorite Usain Bolt in retaining his 100m sprint gold medal. Australia olympians have fought back and stood up for their performances throughout the current olympics.
